About us
Hannah Stoddard & Jenny Ulmer are a writing duo united by two great affections: dark comedy and horses. Hannah is a terminal romantic from Las Vegas with a weakness for politely smutty period pieces and even smuttier fantasy. Jenny grew up on a haunted farm in South Dakota and now, unsurprisingly, loves anything twisted, weird or murdery. Together, they form a unique partnership with an appetite for transgressive women, impassioned second winds and reliably unpredictable plots.
On the feature side, their 2024 Black List script OLD SOULS has Lauren Miller Rogen attached to direct under her banner LYLAS Pictures. They are also currently adapting the popular graphic novel PART-TIME PRINCESSES with Lion Forge Entertainment as a feature. On the series side, their original pilot SHEE is set up with Miramax's TV studio. Previously, they were staff writers on Steve Levitan’s Hulu series REBOOT and have since developed a new project with Levitan and 20th TV based on the bestselling novel "How to Solve Your Own Murder". They also have extensive development experience working with Artists Equity, Imagine Entertainment, Disney and Netflix Animation, among others. They are proud alumni of The Black List x Women In Film Episodic Lab.
